Mahesh (muh-esh) is the third God of the Hindu Trinity and is also known as Nataraj, the dancer of Tandav-nrittya (the cosmic dance of anhilation) or as Shiva (the Auspicious One). He is believed to be a simultaneous destroyer and creator. Mahesh is also worshipped by women desirous of being blessed with a good husband! |
